In World War II, soldiers were considered combat-exhausted after about 180 days in the line. They were withdrawn for rest periods. Moreover, for weeks at a time, large sectors of the front were quiet, giving them time for both physical and psychological rehabilitation.

Why were they pursuing it after we knew who the leaker was?" Are they suggesting that Fitzgerald should have IGNORED Libby's violation of the law? 07-08-07 - Poll: Few Confident of Border Security Only one in five surveyed said the government is doing enough to scrutinize people crossing the border into the U.S., the poll found. Border safety, border shmafety! Who needs to worry about AMERICA'S borders when little Israel's security (which has hundreds of nukes) is being threatened in the Middle East? Our troops should stay there. Really. Taxpayers should pipe down, maybe read the latest copy of FrontPage Mag or the Weekly Standard - bound to be a fresh new anti-Muzzie/Jihadi story in there to frighten you uppity (taxpaying) sheep back into submission.

The supreme irony here is that the New York Times was so quick to propound the neocons' BS, helping them make the case in the runup to the Iraq war. And evidently they haven't learned their lesson because they are doing it again - this time, it's Iran.

07-08-07 - Will the US bomb Iran? Will Israel? ** In other words, Israeli fears aside, the U.S. does not face an existential threat and it must consider its own interests.
